Drabble of Summer #43: Drink
He could feel it rushing through his veins, warming his body, sticking to his throat. Slowly he ran his tongue over his lips where some of it still lingered.
“Like it?” the other man asked him with a knowing smile. All Peter could do was nod. It felt so good. “Fear adds flavor to the blood, don’t you agree?”
“Yes…” Peter’s tongue now played along his teeth, which were stained with fresh blood. He wanted more.
“It gets better,” Raul promised him. “Go out and hunt, and you’ll see.” Hunt… More blood. Peter’s eyes glowed in unearthly hunger. He couldn’t imagine how the blood could taste better, but he knew he wanted to find out.
His fangs came out, eager for more.
