Drabble of Summer #31: Shade
Dark glasses shielded his eyes from the harsh glare of the sun. Since it was the middle of summer, this look was commonplace and no one gave him a second glance. Well… okay, he was given quite a few glances but they were all from women checking out the incredibly handsome man. He gave them all polite smiles.
“Hey, you,” Rigby greeted him. Peter’s smile grew and he got up from his chair to greet her in a kiss. “I thought you couldn’t go out during the day.”
“I can,” Peter assured her. “I just have to stay away from direct sunlight.” He pointed up to the canopy shielding them from the sun.
“Still…” Rigby’s lips pulled into a worried frown. “Let’s go inside.” Peter hesitated. The world looked so beautiful bathed in the sun. But he had to turn away.
