Stranger in a strange land
Peter didn’t belong here. He knew it the moment he arrived. The air felt unwelcome around him. But what other choice did he have? This world was untainted and he had to be here if he wanted to keep it that way.
Everything about this day struck him as incredibly familiar yet foreign at the same time. He was an outsider watching the events transpire. Peter made his way through the crowd and no one gave him a second glance.
Up on the stage Nathan was coming to the finale of his speech. With a cold, detached indifference Peter raised his gun and shot twice in rapid succession. As the bullets ripped through the air they tore apart the future he knew.
Now he was entering into unfamiliar territory. But that was the price he paid to save the world.
