It took all of his willpower to not bounce up and down excitedly as he was given the ice cream, but since he didn't want to lose any of it he managed to stay calm. Peter cupped the waffle cone protectively as he headed off for a place to eat it. He heard an excited bark and paused, his lips pulling into a smile.
"Izzy!" A mass of white fur came bounding toward him, tail wagging at the sight of the boy. "You want some ice cream?" Peter asked as he held out the sweet treat. He knew that dogs weren't supposed to eat chocolate, but figured that vanilla would be okay. Izzy apparently agreed as the dog eagerly started licking away.
Peter laughed and tried to get in a few licks but Izzy was more eager and made the ice cream drop on the ground.
"You just made a new flavor," Peter teased his dog fondly. "Vanilla and dirt!"
