Silly!Peter for Topher

Peter knew the symptoms since he’d been guilty of doing the same thing. He should’ve known to step in sooner. When he finally did he discovered that his gentle coaxing wasn’t going to be enough. Peter would have to take a much more active approach.

That was the decision that found him sitting cross-legged on the floor of Topher’s room. Topher entered and stared for a moment. Peter waited, grinning brightly at the other man. Finally curiosity got the better of the genius and he had to ask:

“Peter, what are you doing?”

“Twinkle, twinkle little bat,” Peter recited merrily. “How I wonder what you’re at! Up above the world you fly, like a tea tray in the sky.”

“What…” Topher tried to speak but the words ended up being swallowed up by his laugh. “What’s gotten into you?” he managed finally.

“Alice in Wonderland,” Peter explained. “It’s your favorite, right? I am the Hatter.” He took off the hat, making a low bow.

“You don’t strike me as being very ‘mad’,” Topher retorted playfully.

“My dear Christopher,” Peter sighed out, using Topher’s full name for the first time since they met. “We are all mad here.”
