The planetarium was the most amazing place Peter had ever seen. He knew, of course, that all those stars existed in the sky. But he lived in New York City where the lights drowned out any possibility of seeing any stars.

He could see how the stars could be very romantic. Peter wished he could be enjoying this alone with his girlfriend instead of with his entire science class. Still, it was very cool and he started drawing in the constellations as he spotted them.

Orion was the easiest to spot, and after that Peter found the Big and Little Dippers. He and his classmates spent a good ten minutes filling out the worksheet their teacher gave them. After that a lot of the kids got bored and decided they’d rather copy off each other than hunt for the constellations themselves.

Peter was one of the few who kept working. He walked the entire length of the planetarium looking up at the sky. It was so beautiful and his whole life, he missed it. He looked for so long he got a crick in his neck.

But it was worth it. Peter found what he was looking for and labeled it on his sheet, even though it was not listed on the constellations.

“The second star to the right”.

Peter had to erase it before turning the sheet it but he remembered, and whenever he got a clear view of the stars he could always find it again.
