Dreaming Hero

The sheets covering his body slipped down his back as he began to stir. Peter let out a tired sigh, pushing his hair out of his face. When he turned his head to the side he saw a girl sleeping peacefully next to him. Peter smiled to himself seeing her there and reached out a hand to comb through the girl’s hair. He tried to be gentle so he wouldn’t disturb her.

The steady thump of the bass line pumping through the speakers sounded just like a heartbeat. Since Peter no longer had one of his own, he loved the way that bass felt throbbing through his body. That was a night club’s primary appeal for him, aside from the more obvious of being open late into the night. And of course when he was thinking of places to take Rigby for their date, night clubs immediately sprung to mind.

He walked out of the jewelry store feeling very pleased with his purchase. It was nice that such businesses were open at late hours. It took him a while to pick out the perfect thing especially considering what it was he wanted. But now he had it in a bag and now headed out into the night, eager to give it to a certain beautiful woman.
