Drabble of Summer #4: Float

spongetasticThey were really fond of staples and papier-mâché. The last thing Peter expected was to be roped into this. But here he was with his sleeves rolled up with paint smeared across one cheek. All of his friends would’ve laughed or worse if they saw him doing something so incredibly girly.
Homecoming was this coming weekend. Another thing that Peter would’ve usually ignored. Except that homecomings came with dances, and slow dancing with a beautiful girl was definitely something Peter was interested in.
And working on the float, it looked like he was well on the way to that goal. All the girls were giving him looks while they worked. He smiled to himself, dabbing more paint to the float. So worth it.
