Drabble of Summer #8: Ocean

It was an amazingly huge place. The moment he could Peter broke free from his mother’s firm grip to rush right into it. His eager little feet splashed as high as his knees before his parents finally noticed.
“Peter, don’t go too far,” his mother warned him. Peter just smiled at her. The warm water was nudging against him like an affectionate animal, pushing him back and forth.
Carefully he squished back to the shore just close enough to watch the waves move against the sand. The ocean was so big it looked like it went on forever. Peter could feel the pull of those unknown lands and wondered if he would ever see them.
