He stretched out on the bed, grinning up at the ceiling. The sheets were thrown haphazardly over their naked bodies in a vain effort for modesty. With the heat of the moment fading away, Peter took this moment to enjoy where he was. For the first time since coming to Ireland he felt completely at ease with everything. Of course he had the girl at his side to thank for that.

"Hey, handsome," she called to him, her leg playfully draping across his hips. "What're you grinnin' at?"

"It's a beautiful night and I'm next to a beautiful girl," Peter answered. "What's not to grin about?"

"Smooth." Caitlin shifted so her hand rested on his chest. Peter's heart responded with an excited jump. His hand lifted to play with her curly brown hair. She made him feel normal and with all the strange things happening to him lately it was nice to have something to keep him grounded.

Peter knew absolutely nothing about himself apart from what he found in that box, and even that didn't hold much meaning for him. They were really nothing more than words and pictures. Nothing solid and real that he could touch like Caitlin. He knew her and how she made him feel. The rest would come in time if he even wanted it.

He pulled her down to press their lips together softly. A spark of desire jumped between them just like it did for their first kiss. From the moment they met Peter wanted Caitlin this way. It made him briefly wonder if he always fell so quickly for a person. The progression from desire to kisses to sex seemed so fast but for him it was comfortable. Like something he did before.

Only, as far as he knew Peter was a virgin before Caitlin. As far as he was concerned she was his first.

"Took ya long enough ta get me here," Caitlin remarked wryly. Peter responded with a soft laugh. God, he loved her accent. It was one of the things that attracted him to her in the first place.

"I didn't know if you'd let me," he answered, fingers tangling gently in her hair. "It's not like I remember any good pick-up lines."

"You didn't need any," Caitlin told him. "I saw ya with yer shirt off, remember?" She grinned and that got another laugh out of Peter. "You've got a nice smile," Caitlin mentioned, her finger brushing the corner of his lip. "You've got a cute lil' lopsided thing goin' for ya."

That made Peter grin wider. He turned his head to the side and kissed her fingers. Oh, yeah, Peter was definitely starting to fall for her. He didn't need his memories to know what love felt like.

"Think your brother will get mad at me?" Peter asked, lips brushing teasingly against Caitlin's.

"Nah. You're one of us now, remember?" Her fingers traced over the patch of skin that should have borne the tattoo she gave him. Somehow it disappeared but the sentiment was still there. "Besides," she added, rubbing her heel against his leg and causing a shiver through his body. "It's not like you can get hurt, eh?"

"Not as long as I have you," Peter answered. His arms wrapped around her and he pulled her down. They easily fitted up against each other again. Peter didn't need his old memories. He was making new ones.
