Peter moved his way through the refrigerated aisles in the market. He grabbed a few things and pushed his cart to check-out. He had a long day and he was eager to get to his apartment. He managed to juggle his bags in one hand while he opened the door with the other.
“About bloody time!” a voice greeted him the moment he stepped in.
“Ugh,” Peter groaned. If he had a free hand he would slap it to his forehead. Claude stood in the empath’s living room looking annoyed. He had that expression a lot around Peter because Peter was usually the cause of the older man’s annoyance.
“Good to see you too,” Claude said wryly. Peter rolled his eyes, pushing past the older man to put his groceries away. Claude watched from a distance, his eyebrow going up the more he stared. “No beer?” he asked.
“I forgot,” Peter shrugged in response. That just made Claude more annoyed. But for once Peter wasn’t trying to annoy him. He was just too damn tired to try tonight.
“Seems you’re real forgetful lately,” Claude huffed. That made Peter pause and stare. He never knew Claude to care. “Brat,” Claude complained, reaching to pull the younger man in his arms.
“Not now.” Peter wiggled out again. He was still sore from the last beating he took from their training session. Though of course denying Claude didn’t improve the invisible man’s mood.
“Wanker,” Claude growled out. Peter couldn’t help smiling at that.
“You’d like that, wouldn’t you?” That earned him a smack on the head and a silent promise that he wasn’t going to get any sex tonight.
