The weather was finally warm enough to venture outside. Seeing how beautiful Central Park was becoming, Peter knew he would have to take advantage of it. Of course, he wasn’t planning on doing so by himself. A certain beautiful girl was waiting for him.
Peter came to Rigby’s apartment with a tote bag full of things he made. He greeted her with a kiss, and then helped her put a few more things in the bag.
“Dessert?” he asked her hopefully.
“Maybe.” Rigby gave him a mysterious smile. “You’ll just have to wait and see.”
With that to excite him, Peter took Rigby by the hand and led her outside. Their fingers twined together as they walked. When they got closer to the park Peter could see it was growing crowded: many other couples had the same idea they did.
Peter chose a spot to spread out the blanket. He and Rigby settled down, spreading out the various foods they brought. They knew each other well enough by now to guess what the other would want to eat. It seemed too early in the day for wine so Peter brought sparkling cider instead.
“You thought of everything,” Rigby remarked.
“Not everything,” Peter corrected her. “I was hoping you would bring dessert.” She made a face at him but he just smiled. Finally Rigby rolled her eyes and brought out a container full of homemade cookies. “See?” Peter nodded happily. “I knew my beautiful chef would come through.”
“Your chef?” Rigby echoed with a questioning eyebrow.
“Mhm.” Peter leaned forward, kissing her cheek lovingly. “I have my own personal chef, and you have your own personal nurse.”
“Oh.” Rigby’s lips pulled into a smile. “Well… I do like the sound of that.” She turned to kiss him on the lips, and it was only because they were in public that the two managed to focus on their meal.
