Dorky!Peter for Gabriel

spongetasticIn the time they knew each other, Gabriel couldn’t recall Peter being this excited about something. It was almost like Christmas morning. In fact, it started much the same way. Peter woke up early that morning and practically broke down Gabriel’s door in his excitement. The other man was bemused; he honestly didn’t know what to think of Peter’s behavior.
Peter greeted Gabriel with a blaster. It was fake of course but it was a very good duplicate of the real thing. Once Gabriel got over that he would see Peter dressed up like Han Solo.
“What’s with the get-up?” Gabriel wondered.
“It’s The Empire Strikes Back’s birthday!” Peter announced, beaming. Clearly he expected Gabriel to be excited about this. When the taller man didn’t react Peter felt a little disappointed. “The movie came out thirty years ago today,” he explained.
“Ah.” And that was all from Gabriel’s end.
“That’s it?” Definitely disappointed. “Gabriel, this is one of the best movies ever. We need to celebrate it!”
“Um, right.” Gabriel tried to look enthusiastic for Peter’s sake since clearly the other was very excited about this. “Let me just fire up my X-wing.”
“Oh, my god, you have an X-wing?!?!” Peter shrieked. Gabriel couldn’t help but face palm.
