He sat there with his back against the wall staring out onto the dark street. He had no idea what time it was. Only that it was very late.
He couldn’t remember the last time he had a good night’s sleep. Was it hours? Days? Peter let out a sigh, pushing his hair out of his face. His racing mind refused to slow down long enough for him to rest.
And that was the real problem, wasn’t it? Since this place was all just a prison of the mind. Peter didn’t want to sleep so he couldn’t. No matter how much Peter pounded at that wall he never managed to tire himself out.
Peter couldn’t sleep as long as he was here. Why would he need to? He was already in a nightmare.
